Blueprint for Excellence
Strategic Plan 2024-2027
-
On October 15, 2024, the Avoca Board of Education officially adopted the district’s strategic plan, titled “Blueprint for Excellence.” This plan represents our collective vision for advancing our educational programs, improving student outcomes, and strengthening connections within the community.
The strategic plan was crafted with the invaluable input of many stakeholders, including parents, community members, employees, administrators, and members of the Board of Education – a purposeful collaboration intended to ensure that all stakeholder voices are represented and valued.
The plan identifies three priority areas: academic excellence, the student experience, and operations. It details several action steps for the 2024-25 school year, including professional development, curriculum review, individualized student career pathways, social-emotional support, increased exposure to academic and extra-curricular programs, stronger communication and partnerships, and more.
The strategic plan will serve as the district’s roadmap to ensure that all students are provided with an educational experience that is meaningful, innovative, and engaging, in an environment that is safe, welcoming, and supportive.
As the district moves forward with implementing this plan, the community is encouraged to stay engaged and involved; its continued support and collaboration are vital to the success of these initiatives. The district will continue to share updates. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and ensure a bright future for all.

- Facilitate action planning focused on identifying who, when and how the work will get done.
- Provide the district with a road map that is transparent, accountable and focused.
- Enable the district’s efforts to innovate, allocate resources and continuously grow in a coordinated, thoughtful and aligned manner.
