Mission Statement

The mission of Avoca Central School is to develop every child as a respectful, responsible person who is motivated and prepared academically, as well as socially, emotionally, and physically, to meet life's challenges. We will accomplish this mission by providing a coordinated curriculum implemented by a creative, collaborative staff in a supportive environment.

DIGNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS ACT  

No student shall be subjected to harassment by employees or students on school property or at a school function; nor shall any student be subjected to discrimination based on a person's actual or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender or sex by school employees or students on school property or at a school function.
 

The Dignity Act's underlying premise is that preventive and non-punitive intervention, in response to incidents of discrimination and /or harassment, is the best way to achieve school environments free from harassment and discrimination.
