As a result of the review, and with the unanimous agreement of all district superintendents, home team spectators are now allowed to atttend high-risk sporting events under the following guidance:
There can only be a maximum of two spectators per athlete (with no more than 50 spectators in total at one event).
Spectators MUST wear an acceptable face covering at all times while in the facility.
This new directive will go into effect on Monday, Feb. 15.
Additionally, Smith reminded, school district must still strictly adhere to the Interim Guidance For Sports and Recreation During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency guidelines as amended by the NYSDOH on January 22, 2021.
