Winter Boys Basketball NYS Championship Games
We're very proud of our varsity boys basketball team, and their fantastic season! Unfortunately, on March 23rd, NYSPHSAA cancelled the Winter State Championships. You can read their full press release here.
Spring Sports Update
The spring sports season length has a lot to do with when schools reopen. If needed, NYSPHSAA has allowed the spring season to be extended. Additionally, the seven consecutive day rule has been waived. Monday, April 27th will be the date that NYSPHSAA will determine the feasibility of the NYS Spring State Championships.
If your child had anything checked out from the school library, all due dates have been extended to April 20, 2020.
Our scheduled Spring Recess will be April 6-10. During this time, food service will continue at our school and remote sites. During this school break, there will not be new assignments issued through GoogleClassroom or otherwise assigned by teachers.
Freshman Pasta Orders
The freshman pasta order has arrived. Students will need to work with Mrs. Rodbourn (firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange a pick-up of your order from her porch. The pick-up is a contactless way to get your order. There are instructions provided for students to distribute the order. All orders should be delivered with no contact to the customers. If you would like to wait to pick up and deliver your orders, that would be fine as well. Please ensure Mrs. Rodbourn knows your plans. She will be reaching out via Remind.
We are working in partnership with our county’s Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) agency, which has updated information about available child care during school closings related to COVID-19. The CCR&Rs will provide information on child care providers to any parent seeking it and will provide enhanced referrals for health care workers and first responders. Enhanced referrals will include facilitating the process of finding an available slot so that parents in these crucial service professions have less legwork to do. For Steuben County, please contact Child Care Aware of Steuben and Schuyler at 607-776-2126 ext. 236.
Updated Contact Information for the School
As we continue through this extended dismissal, it is important to keep your contact information current. Please contact Mrs. Stowe at 607-566-2221 *1125 or email email@example.com if your phone or email has changed.
If your child is having trouble with their device, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or stop down to the Cafeteria entrance between 11 and 12 on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays. Someone there can assist with a solution to the chromebook problem.
Teachers in the Middle and High School have created "Office Hours" where they will be available for quick replies to emails or questions. Due to the varying technology abilities of our staff in their homes, this will range from emails, to video chat abilities. To see a list of all teacher office hours in the Middle/High School please click here. Teachers have outlined in their cover letters the best way to reach them. Please check the letter and use the links below:
If you need to contact the school during the extended dismissal, please email email@example.com or call 607-566-2221 *1125.
